Danjuma Dauda finds it difficult to adjust to life when he is released from prison (see The Blackmailers, also by Joseph Mangut). He finds solace in the company of a young girl who has been forced into prostitution. When tragedy strikes Danjuma is determined to find out the truth about her and her past in spite of the danger to himself.
